Many of you have reached out over the past week (thank you!) asking if I’m offering “front porch sessions”. I’m not offering these sessions right now. I will continue to follow all CDC recommendations and state mandates that all non-essential businesses remain closed. Having to turn away business right now is really difficult—but your family’s and my family’s safety is just more important to me than business. I understand many are continuing to operate under the premise that this is somehow supporting the community and small businesses. Please understand that all non-essential businesses in Massachusetts have been mandated to close and stop operating for the health and safety of our community. My decision is not just about social distancing; it’s about our own social responsibility. Continuing to operate under any circumstances (or hashtags) just doesn’t seem right – as much as I’d love to see you all.
For those of you that are interested in these sessions, when I’m able to safely reopen and the state mandate is lifted, I’m happy to schedule these or any other sessions you’re interested in.
For all of you that are essential…for those of you on the front lines of this—THANK YOU for your sacrifice. Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for trying to keep us all safe. For you, I will stay home. My heart and prayers are with you all.
As my deepest thank you to you all, I will be giving away five family portrait sessions (once this is over and it is safe to do so) to local workers who supported us all through this difficult time. If you’d like to share your experience or nominate your favorite local nurse, doctor, firefighter, police officer, grocery store worker, delivery driver, mail carrier or restaurant worker (to name just a few-please feel free to add someone not listed) please message or email me at: kate@kkelleyphotography.com. We can all find ways to thank all of those that are fighting so hard for us. They are our heroes. ❤️
We all have responsibility in this. I believe we all need to do our part. My small business is no different or no more important than the thousands of other local businesses in the area that have had to close their doors and stop operating. It’s a really scary time for everyone right now but the sacrifices we are all making will be worth it if it saves lives-if it helps to save the community we love.
For all of you that have reached out wanting to support my business during this time, I thank you. It means a lot. I cannot wait until we are all together again on the other side of this.
I miss you all so much. Stay well. Stay safe everyone.
